Are you getting married in Las Vegas? Who will be your Las Vegas Wedding Photographer? How will you choose your Las Vegas Wedding Photographer?
We break it down for all of you lovely brides-to-be out there. Here is a list of some of the things you should consider when looking for a Las Vegas Wedding Photographer.
When selecting a Las Vegas wedding photographer you are selecting more than just a photographer for your wedding day. You are hiring a wedding photographer that will be there to document you and your family all day on your wedding day. Personality is a huge part of the selection process and should not be overlooked or discounted in any way.
Your Las Vegas Wedding Photographer’s personality can set the tone for your entire wedding day and your bridal party. Ultimately it can impact your wedding photography altogether. You will more than likely be working with your wedding photographer for a year, or longer in some cases, by the time you factor in your engagement session and post wedding photography and albums.
While price is always a factor when selecting your Las Vegas Wedding Photographer, it should not be the only thing that matters. All too often we hear horror stories from brides who made a decision for their wedding photography based purely on price…..or even worse……to use the run-of-the-mill “Resort Photographer”. Ultimately, it turns out to be foolish in the end. When it’s all said and done, your wedding photography will be all you have to remember your wedding day.
Going with a resort photographer is not the best of ideas. Here are the reasons why
Like I mentioned earlier, basing your photographer off of just price is a terrible idea. You will regret it for the rest of your life.
You, as a bride, I am positive that you would like to communicate your vision to your photographer. Your desire to have the most gorgeous photos. Creative Art pieces that can be printed and hung on your wall. How would you be able to communicate that to your photographer on the wedding day? I mean yes, we do live in Las Vegas, but that doesn’t mean you need to gamble on your wedding day with an unfamilar photographer!
If you are here, I am sure that photography is a priority for you as a bride. You want unique, stylish, and tasteful photos. How will your resort photographer know that? Even if they did know that, they are told what to shoot, when to shoot, where to shoot, and how to shoot. The end result is you having similar photos as the brides that come before and after you.
Even worse, how do you communicate or meet up with your resort photographer at a destination wedding in the Bahamas? What if after the wedding there are some photos that you had issues with. Can you speak with the actual photographer that shot your wedding or are you speaking to some pompous manager? Can you imagine what a nightmare that would be? It wouldn’t even be worth the hassle at that point.
We here at Digital Macdaddy Photography, will be in constant communication. We make it a point to outline your timeline and to make sure that you set aside time for photography. We walk you through every step of the way so you won’t have to worry about anything during the portion of your wedding day! Coordinating a Wedding is a huge production, so having a trusted advisor on photography will hopefully ease some of the pain!
What will you do with all of your images from your wedding photographer? Most people opt to place them in a beautifully designed wedding album that your wedding photographer should provide you with. Don’t underestimate the importance of a wedding album from your wedding day. This is your first family heirloom and your one keepsake you will have forever to remember your Las Vegas wedding.
When selecting a Las Vegas Wedding Photographer you should look for an album that best represents you and your new family. Wedding albums come in all shapes and sizes. Questions you should ask your Las Vegas Wedding photographer 1) How many pages come in the wedding album? 2) How many images will be in the wedding album? 3) What leather options are available for my wedding album?
Something often overlooked when selecting a Las Vegas Wedding Photographer is the number of hours that will be offered during the coverage of your Las Vegas Wedding. Typically, you will want your wedding photographer to be with you to document all of the moments of your wedding day. After all, that’s what you are hiring them for. That being said, typical coverage requirements for your wedding day should be about 8-10 hours.
Be careful here, though. Some Las Vegas Wedding photographers offer cut-rate prices by offering you less than adequate wedding coverage for your day. These become hidden costs and once you realize it, it’s often too late. Make sure you hire a Las Vegas Wedding Photographer that is all inclusive and doesn’t cut corners on their service!
How many Las Vegas Wedding Photographers will be at your event? Most events need at least two wedding photographers. This ensures that your wedding photographer is focused on working with your group and directing the day and allows the second wedding photographer to have coverage going on at the same time.
We find that by having two Las Vegas Wedding photographers at your event, your wedding photography needs can best be met all while ensuring that nothing gets missed from your big day.
